Bliss Balls Recipe
February 10, 2020

I don't know about you... but there are times when I crave something sweet. Something to just give me a little sugar boost when the need arises. A while ago I attended a retreat and tried a date bliss ball. I was hooked on them immediately. Small enough to feel like the treat size was ok... and when you're really feeling ravenous you can maybe have two! Woohoo.

Now you know I adore essential oils. Well some doterra oils can be used internally. Wild Orange is one of my favourites. I love to add one drop to a glass of water and drink throughout the day. I have no problem in making sure I drink plenty of water to keep my internal system tiketyboo!

If you want to have a go at making the date and wild orange bliss balls then the ingredients are listed below. They're so handy to have in the fridge when ravenous boys come home from school!

170grams oats

3 tbsp raw cacao

2 tbsp coconut oil

250grams Medjool dates

A pinch of sea salt

1-2 drops of doTERRA Wild Orange essential oil or the zest of an orange

Splash of water

2 tbsp desiccated coconut.

Directions.

Place the oats in a food processor and blend to a fine flour-like texture.

Gently warm the coconut oil to melt. Add to the oats flour along with the dates, cacao, salt, wild orange oil and a splash of water. Blend everything together in the processor until fully combined.

Spread the desiccated coconut onto a plate. Remove the sticky mixture from the processor and shape into small balls using your hands.
Roll the balls in the coconut. You can also try rolling the ball in cacao powder for a more intense chocolate experience. Place into the fridge to harden. Enjoy.
